“She opens her mouth with wisdom,
And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.”
Proverb 31:26 (Bible – Old testament)
And so do I strive to be as wise as you, it’s true
Life’s lessons, delicately carved and imbued.
Baked in the fire of experience’s heat
You’re the masterpiece, so exquisitely complete.
The finest clay upon a potter’s wheel
In your strength and grace, I find my ideal.
Much like Sisyphus with his boulder in an endless toil
Our sorrows, like waves, did relentlessly coil.
But you, a stoic pillar, by my side remained
Through every storm, you light, undiminished, unchained.
In fractures, you wove a healing tapestry, oh so tenderly
Like Japanese kintsugi, with love so artfully.
You filled my cracks with gold and now I gleam
Stronger from the scars, like a radiant dream.
Blind wheels of fortune turned with fateful grace
Towards me, they spun, a captivating embrace.
For in your affection, a precious gift I found
A love so profound, my heart’s joy unbound.
The blue ocean, a cradle for life’s gentle birth
An Eden’s apple, yet a knife’s edge, its worth.
Its depths hold secrets, both tender and strife
A paradox of nature, the ocean’s double life.
Amidst the chaos that whirls and spins,
Without you, mum, where would I begin?
You’re the anchor, the calm in the storm’s wild run
With you by my side, life’s battles are won.
The intricate dance of fate, our paths align
In fate’s permutations, your hand found mine
Forever grateful, this bond beautiful as a swaying heather
For without it, I’d not be a shade of your feather.
