Mind said...
Have you been blind to people not being kind,
Have you been naive to keep on being nice!
Why were you in a glasshouse when people's real intents were hidden in black boxes,
Why did you continue to help when they didn't reciprocate!
In a boundary-less generation trying to be cool,
why you hold so many rules!
In a world full of selfpaths,
why are you still an empath!
The heart said...
Keep being nice, so more people believe in goodness sans vice
Keep being helpful without agenda,
so people learn to give without propaganda
Keep being the odd bod that you are,
And let them feel..
..it's the kindness & not retaliation,
that makes this world a warm destination!
Keep being kind, and let your light shine
In the dark corners of their mind!
