Oblivion of Humanity

By Anisha Bhattacharya

Effervescent remains a term long gone,
As in its manor lives voracity instantaneous.
The cease of existence did not etwine the blaze in our hearts
It's like living in a universal gleam with not so unified spark.

The saddest part of our lament is that
We can't pardon ourselves and they can't erase their scars.
Only shadows remain where humanity once embraced.
What's left is the whispering echoes of all the unspoken dreams.

Ripples of oneness drowned in greed
A dwelling so radiant left to bleed.
The rooted wanderers left years agone
Guided by unseen maps of avarice.
The once stood fraternity exists no more
For in place rules gluttony all along.

Oblivion of humanity is indeed limitless
For its end results exceed vast horizons
The circle once unbroken knows it's cost
The echoes of today's pain is tomorrow's long past void.
