My heart has a color
And once in a while it shows
Certain glow or gloom
As a feeling snows
Running green
When the ambition runs high
Not caring enough for self
A hustle of day and night
Beaming yellow
The excitement of something new
Giving a chance to try again
New ideas to brew
Shimmering in purple
An identity in pride
Brave enough to be oneself
Smart enough to hide
Immersed in red
In love and pain
Both a similar rage
With little to gain
Bleeding blue
In demise of hope
Seeking a tiny glimpse
Or a pretty place to shop
Captured in black
Absorbs and doesn’t reflect
All the grief that comes its way
Not spreading the pain it felt
Plastered in white
Forced to stay still
To save from regret
Keeping secrets from the spill
Dusted brown
As I lay on the earth
In infinite thoughts
Questioning its worth
So many reactions
It never sits still
Like a kid in the outdoors
Moving up and down the hill
I bought some chains
To change its way
To have more control
To get peaceful days
The chains left a new color
Beautiful and bold
Now it shimmers in silver
Around every color it holds
