Nature is the playground
Where I love to dwell the most.
Every morning waking up to bricks and mortar
Makes my eyes go sore.
So I take the chance to venture out every now and then;
Enjoy the sunshine, the clouds, the dewdrops, or the rain!
Birds are beauteous creatures I love,
Their chirping soothes my heart.
The roar from the jungle
Truly makes my adrenaline rush.
The morning sunrise and evening sunset
Brings me peace and quiet.
But every time I see the trees go down,
There's a riot in my heart.
The buildings rise up against the sky
Crying for attention.
But millions of creatures and features
Fade slowly away from earth.
I yearn to be with nature
Every moment of my breath.
I'd take any chance to bathe in the forest
So that I can rest.
My soul yearns to soak up in nature,
Smear its colours on me.
Cover my body with its scent
And breathe with it gently.
Oh let nature be my playground,
Let me roam there free.
Let my days on earth
Be in tune with her in harmony.
Let my soul with her music be filled,
Let me in the end
Embrace her with my ashes:
My unspoken gratitude for nurturing me.
Let her hold me
In her everlasting caress.
