Million Ways to Die

By Pallavi Priyamvada

 I used to think,
 I know things,
 I know names,
 I can tell.

 I used to feel,
 I'm smart,
 Will figure my path,
 But I fell.

All my beliefs went for the toss.
All my gods assembled in lawn.
All my flowers grieved the silent death of dreams.
Left my home behind, only ghosts on every street.

 I wore white
 for thirteen days.
 The messenger of death
 came mourning on my grave.
 You didn't have to die,
Your day has still not come.
 I'm giving you some life,
 go try once again.

 Just remember,
If you cannot see A to Z, can you see B?
 That’s all you need.
 Knock every door,
till one is open for sure.
 Some will trap you kid,
some will lead to bigger doors
 Tear down all the maps,
there is no record of this road
 It was built only yesterday
 for a little traveller.
 Keep wonder in your eyes
 and questions in your heart.
 Put cheese on your pizza,
but don’t let it get stuck.
 Sing songs to the lakes,
 make love with the sky.
There is no other way to live,
 only million ways to die.
 Million ways to die.
