Merger of Two Souls

Vaishnavi Singh

I was born from mountain breath
I was innocent and had potential beneath,
But then I grew and became a restless soul,
 Moving in my dynamic flow,
 I carved valleys and waterfalls
 and shaped everything I touched
But still my purpose was not fulfilled as much
In the search of consciousness, I walked through the echoes of forest,
Heard the whispering trees and listened
Birds sing line, as my purpose was to be vein of life.
They provided me solace, and gradually
I learned to move with grace.
I was in direction but still directionless,
As my heart yearned, for stillness.
I felt incomplete but moved with hope and intensity.
Believing one day you would welcome me in to your vast vicinity.
I knew the amount of depth you hold
only there could my restlessness truly unfold.
And finally my longing came to an end
As you filled me with sense of belonging
 without being overwhelmed.
You too have seen tides and storms,
Yet you absorbed them in silence
as if they were your own.
You are like a supreme soul your
 patience should be deeply endured.
You are the one who waits at the
edge of every shore and for
that eternity, I am ready to lose my control.
When I met you, I gained completeness
Together, we created a home of balance and calmness.
Perhaps to the world, it's a narrow stream
Dissolving in a vast, blue whole,
But when the river meets it's
Ocean it's the merger of two souls.
