Here lies her body asleep
Within my heart - curved, arched and bleached
Wreathed by a few buds of roses
The standing testimony to a life and love
Half lived and done.
Do you remember that time
When we lived together
Only for ourselves?
Gathering the whole world of dreams
Within our heart, so light
And shared a similar world of joy or sorrow.
Do you remember
Burying myself in your lap?
When I looked up
Into your face, so bright
That time,
When your love flowed out
As nectar to my thirsty mind
And your lullabies
Oozed out of its hive in your heart.
Do you remember
That thick and misty night?
When we flowed together
From the melting snow of love
Creating wide ripples
That fused together
In an eternity that was ourselves.
Do you remember
The scent of our love and the spice of your smile?
Blending into the final truth
Under that rain tree
Beside the bluish brook.
Do you remember
The saffron of that April sky?
