Looking at Myself, O soul!

By Mrinmoyee B Goswami

Upon the glass whenever I look, looks at me the most charming,
He stares at me with passionate eyes makes my whole day heart warming.
The Kohl black eyes with utmost love looks at me day and night.
My favourite pass time is to look at you o' my lovely mirror bright!
When the whole world laughs at me, for sitting on the wheelchair,
O you, my best friend through the light and shadow, I know how you care.
You show me how should I be strong and always keep my head high,
And how should I always be happy, and never ever cry.
All my pain turns to smile whenever I look at you,
Time and again I fall in love, at me arrow did Cupid threw.
Self absorbed calls some one while some taunts me egoistic
How lame can be so proud, they thought, though I remain calm and majestic.
Since morning as I wake, wakes my bad luck at me taunting,
"Work hard till you can or else no food", keep my whole day haunting.
Upon the night, entering my broken room I always find you waiting for me
The whole world remain surprised, "all the agony, where does keep she?"
I live for you, O my soul, I live for the beautiful me
The shadow, the mirror they are nothing but you, the reflection of the 'she'.
Once God, the Almighty has given me the most precious gift ever,
Life it is called and each moment is worth living He said, I remember.
O human beings what do you achieve by taunting and hurting others?
Live thy life gracefully, and watch yourself fly high with light feathers.
Through the mirror looks at me my soul, not the narcissist as you all said,
The holy soul connects you with Him, or else you all will be paid.
Paid for the hurtings that you did and all those whom you all have made cry,
Can you give them back the floating time that has already passed by?
Be gentle to all, love all and be loved, the main motto of the beautiful life;
Love my friend 'Mirror' to live the life to the fullest, glow, grow and thrive.
