Look into my eyes

By Megha BV

~Just one last time, until this madness called life,
And then will the stars of ours, Align.~

I wish I could light up this lonely sky,
Just to see the spark casting out of your eyes.
My sunshine, it’s the time of dawn to arise,
Yet I see you clustered up with the faded starlight.

Sink it deep within—the cries of hungry sin,
Not for the sake of myth, that’s only wanting you to give in.
Bear it one more time; I’ll let you squeeze my hands harder.
But darling, don’t go far—it’s only the call of rising wars.

Free your hazel eyes, and look at the reflection of yourself.
Isn’t it written in my eyes, that only you can reside in there for this timeline.
One step for the love of mine, another to feel it in your life.
Like I promised, I’ll give it all—even the remnants of my shattered heart.

But now I feel like I’ve been let gone of, like the only kid in the scary hours.
So what do I do with this love that’s left untouched?
It’s not about it being pure—my love—
But about the loss of it not being your healing power.

I am happy you could never promise,
‘Cause then, you would not have to carry the words that wouldn’t be fulfilled.

As it’s been long since my soul lost your presence,
I am standing here near our favorite place.
To the only time you had let the dawn rise,
And the only time you felt the glimpse of love.

Since you did fly towards the yearning sky,
Wait until my time is right.
And when the sky will no longer be lonely for that one time,
And when, you’ll finally look into my eyes.
