Strange are the ways of life,
Little peace & much strife,
We often weave like a diligent spider,
Web of dreams to reach higher,
Little do we know of lord's schemes,
And get entangled in its skeins...
The choices we make,
The moves we take,
All driven by a burning desire,
To achieve success no matter what conspires.
Failure becomes a dreaded stranger,
Which nonetheless meets us at every corner,
Wrenching, twisting, distorting our spirits,
Some allude and some face it..
In all this mayhem, we tend to ignore,
Little joys which it has in store.
It could be a child's innocent smile,
Loved ones making it worthwhile,
The chirping of birds in the morning dew,
Inner peace of being true.
As each one's life has it's own hue,
Red, green or blue,
Sooner or later one gets his due.
So lets cherish each day as it unfolds
Set foot forward towards our goals sans fear of failure,
Work for happiness, work for excellence,
Not letting anything beat our confidence,
Harbouring humilty, resenting pride,
Taking setbacks in our stride,
As life isn't only about victory & defeat
But living it well is in itself a feat...
