Let words rest
Enough said—ramblings, musings,
Words twisted, warped, and abused,
Yet little heard, none felt, absorbed.
Why must we fill every void with words empty and meaningless,
Hollow words that ring in my ears long after they are gone
When silence is what we need—
Poignant and seamless thoughts,
Unrushed, unspoken, understood?
Choking, suffocating, breathless in this cacophony,
Longing and yearning for tranquility,
For the silent melody of moments untainted by words.
Let words rest—
Break free from the meaninglessness, the chaos, the chatter.
Appreciate the poignant stillness,
The beauty of words left unsaid.
Not spoken, yet heard.
Not articulated, yet felt—
In the deep crevices and nooks of your heart.
Whispers, not shouts, that heal the fissures,
The chinks threatening to tear you apart.
So for now, let words rest.
Think, reflect, connect—
Let hearts, minds, and souls unite in thought.
Listen to the hearts that beat,
For not all needs to be expressed.
Transcend the boundaries of language,
For too many words cloud not just your vision,
But the ability to see truth as it is meant to be seen.
They say words should never be left unsaid,
Yet, when surrounded by this discord,
All I want to say is—
Let words rest.
When words no longer soothe but suffocate—
Let words rest.
When they cease to be a balm,
Fail to heal but instead scar—
Let words rest.
Exploited, abused, calling for help—
Feel their agony, their pain—
Let words rest.
From radio jockeys breathless with banter at dawn,
To evening broadcasts filled with ruthless rants,
Silence is a luxury—
A place so remote, so far.
Let me embrace this silence overcast with sentiments
This silence replete with tender warmth.
All I want to say is—
Let words rest.
