By Denzil Vonlintzgy

It has been some time
since I last slept.
My mind, bound to a memory
and my heart has bitterly wept.
I still linger by the park bench,
where I last held your hand.
My emotions, a vast ocean;
your memory, a grain of sand.
Patiently, I wait for you,
from morning butterflies to evening stars.
Everything grows quieter with time
but, not my pain, not the scars.
Then, one scarlet evening
a familiar perfume fills the air.
I hear a faint voice call my name
with forgotten love and forbidden care.
I wonder if it’s you,
who has finally come.
Come to see, how I’ve faded with time,
or to see, what I have become.
I stand just beside you, unnoticed
I wish, I could hold you once more.
Before that silver light takes me,
beyond that golden shore.
We live a thousand lives,
with every moment that passes by.
Your loving memory shall become my heart,
this isn’t, my final Good Bye.
my final Good Bye…!
