I question, cry and scream,
”Show me the way!” I plea,
As to how life will surrender to me.
One little girl smiles, soft and serene,
”It's easy, just learn how to dream.”
Dreams of mine reach quite far,
Yet I worry “How do I kick start?”
And if I do ”What if I fall apart?”
The young lady, confident yet gentle,
Says “Oh dear, but what if you fly afar?”
“All by myself?” I wonder,
How will I bandage my own cuts?
As my trembling spirit grew.
The woman, draped in wealth’s scent,
Whispered, “The sun burns alone, so can you.”
But “What if my lover envies it all?
My empire, would it perish?
for the sake of love that I might cherish"
An old woman, with a legacy of her own,
Answers, “You don’t need less jewels in your crown,
Just a king who can hold his own.”
There, I had it, my answers.
Not from strangers, or ghosts,
But from the experiences of my soul,
through the different voices I owned,
That’s how I found the keys.
Through the echoes of time,
I saved me.
