I stood at the edge of the storming sky,
Where tears once threatened, but I passed them by.
The peace could go, the world could move away,
I choose not to break; I choose to pray.
No failure can steal my inner strength,
No sorrow and pain can make me feel sad at length.
I stitched my broken heart with thread of steel,
Now I know how to feel joyful and heal.
The downfall still pushes me back,
But now courage is what’s keeping me on the right track.
A breath of fresh air, now I have learnt to take,
No setback now can make me break.
So let the tears of rain fall, if they must,
I will walk through puddles, not through dust.
My soul may ache, whisper, and sigh,
But still I decided not to cry.
