His Forever Redemption

By Suryansh Raj Patel

Long ago, lived a barbaric..
had no love, had no guilt.
Used to be told: God sees the moment, and he will suffer for his sins.
He never cared, lived a life of transgression-
little did he know,
God has no exception.

Once before God,
he was offered
a life of normalcy and love,
to be blessed with heaven.
The barbaric accepted with selfdom-
he didn’t know,
it wasn’t his kingdom.

The barbaric was born again-
new life, new home, new age,
and a lone chance at heaven.
He lived as a normal man,
lived as a human.

One fateful day, he crossed path with someone-
as her hair flew on his face,
and sunshine sparkled through her eyes.
And when she looked back,
he was lost forever in those ties.

They started loving.
They started happening.
They started becoming.
And soon, in their gardens,
there were little cries-
cries of life,
cries of joy,
cries of happiness.

Then suddenly, one evening as the day went by,
the world became cold,
and the door swung by-
stood there some barbarics
who were there to hurt,
who were there to hunt,
who were there to take innocent lives.

But he fought-
for those little cries,
for those beautiful times,
and for whom in his happiness lies.

He fought-
and won, but lost life.

He was there with God again,
begged mercilessly to be hers again,
to love again,
to be with them again-
for anything.
He begged, cried, and sobbed.

Then he remembered who he was,
what he did to the souls
who suffered just as his.
That was it-
that was what the divine wanted.

But the next moment-
he was there,
looking at her…
happy, thriving, and blissful.

He was there-
watching from the land of paradise
as sunshine shone on his children,
just as the same sunshine
he saw the first time
in her eyes.

In her eyes he saw His Forever Redemption.
