I shouted "Hello, World" to the world.
But it remained quiet.
I shouted from the top of my lungs,
“Hello, World!”
But the mountain, valley, and deep chasm remained silent.
All I could hear was the wind’s mocking laughter.
Day by day, I climbed again and again,
But the world remained silent.
Only the wind’s laughter accompanied me.
Once more, I climbed to the top.
The cold wind blew against my cold face,
Dancing and laughing at me,
Telling me to give up.
But I continued, day by day.
The wind pushed at my back,
Laughing,
“Go, go. The world is silent today.”
I reached the top.
The wind felt silent.
I shouted once more,
“Hello, World!”
And I heard it—
The wind’s gentle laughter, filled with joy:
“Hello, World.”
The mountain, the valley, and the chasm echoed.
And in that moment, my heart brimmed with joy.
I laughed with the wind,
Realizing it was never mocking me.
It was carrying my 'Hello' all this time.
The wind was blowing at my face,
Softly whispering:
Idiot.
