Heart's Embrace

Your physical presence was a blessing indeed,
But for me, you are omnipresent-
Always considered a cherished part of who I am.

Losing you was losing a part of me,
An emotion inexplicable,
A void as vast as the sea.

You were my guiding light,
The one who ignited my soul.
My silent strength,
The one I leaned on, time and again.

Seeing your eyes sparkling with pride
Gave me a sense of fulfillment.
But as years pass,
The ripples of emptiness
Send jitters down my spine.

This feeling is somewhat weird,
Way too intense.
But deep down, I feel fractured-
Fractured for a lifetime.

My heart aches when I think of it-
When you have the world with you,
But still, you have no one.

Yet,
How can I disregard the memories, the learnings?
A gift
I will cherish for a lifetime.

Your smile, your laughter, your kindness,
Filling me with warmth every time I think of it.
Your words of wisdom,
Fueling me with that same hot blood,
Always driving me to reach the peak.

The gentle pats upon my back,
Urging me to claim my space,
Teaching me to chase the sky.

All in all..
Times may change,
Yet you will remain unsurpassable,
Cherished forever within my heart's embrace.
