Haunted By Love, Healed By You

By Noor Aqudas

I met you in a wild haunted city
where I caged myself and succumbed to pity
The four walls stole my peace and harmony
They called me a monster, labelled me cruel, called it irony
How can it be insane for a person ?
When love is fearless the best of versions
When healing has shoulders
To lean on a soulful bolster
I love you like a breeze
That softens storms and freezes pain with ease
The thunder, the roar, the choked self of mine
All seems like a nightmare when love finds me fine
I swept in all alone when dust was all around
But I forgot to slow it down when your blistering warmth surrounds
I know you weep in silence to let me sleep in peace
But I know you need my calm words to mend your wounds and make your pain cease
It's not about the paramour or the beloved's fate
Rather the secret whispers which aren't being made
It's a plea from flesh to one's soul, urging love to make it whole
But destined are two selves who belong to one soul.
