Forties Queen – Delhi Poetry Slam

Forties Queen

By Anjana Ram

In her forties, she stands with grace,
A radiant smile upon her face.
Her eyes hold wisdom, deep and bright,
Reflecting years of love and light.

Her journey etched in every line,
A tapestry of life, divine.
She wears her age like fine couture,
Confident, elegant, and sure.

She’s danced through joy, she’s wept in sorrow,
Embraced the promise of each tomorrow.
Her heart has scars but beats with fire,
Filled with dreams that never tire.

No longer bound by doubt or fear,
She knows her worth, her purpose clear.
In every role, she finds her way,
Balancing night and welcoming day,

With strength and poise, with endless grace,
She’s nurturer and warrior, both,
A beacon of unwavering growth.

Her laughter’s rich, her voice is strong,
A melody, a lifelong song.
In friendships old and new, she thrives,
A cherished bond in all our lives.

She gives with love, she leads with heart,
A work of art, a priceless part.
Her beauty is in her every move,
A rhythm time has helped to groove.

In her forties, she is a sight to behold,
A woman bold, a woman free.
Her story’s still unfolding, true,
With chapters left and skies of blue.

She walks her path with head held high,
A testament to days gone by.
A woman in her forties, bold and free,
Embracing life with jubilant glee.

Embrace her spirit, hear her voice,
In her happiness, let us rejoice.
In her forties, she’s a queen,
A life well-lived, a soul serene.
