It hasn't drizzled for a while,
But I am standing in a forest.
It still feels like soil,
But I am standing on the ground with no trees.
It seems to be all green,
But I can't feel the cool breeze.
The land feels barren,
As no chirping of birds is seen.
A river is provided,
Even the sun is exhausted.
The forest should have been shining,
But it's deserted, with storm clouds shadowing.
It looks quite peaceful on the outside,
But only the animals know the hustle inside.
Roots hear the noises,
They try to stay quiet as their work goes unseen.
It is only on a full moon night,
A day that is rare here,
That a tree comes to life,
And animals stay blissfully near.
Birds’ chirping revives,
Even the forest retrieves its shine.
Everything was there from the start,
But it only took a cheerful day
To spark the light in its heart.
