Into the bond of Husband and of Wife,
Such strangeness creeps,
What unknown destinies in this era,
Now the human spirit keeps??
In Treta's age, a legend we embrace,
Of Rama and Sita, their divine grace
But in Kalyuga, mistrust took its cruel flight,
Shattering this pure union ,once so bright
For ages they lived, for each other to die
Husband and wife, beneath love's endless sky
But now alas ,a grim intent takes hold,
To snatch away life, their hearts have grown so cold
Somewhere a wife, in a suitcase they find,
Somewhere a husband, in a drum is confined
Some cut a wife to pieces,in tandoor they burn,
Some scatter a husband's part,to the river they turn
Where the husband celebrates his wedding's delight,
The wife makes a dark plot for his final night,
Luring him with beauty ,through valleys so grand,
She guides him to slumber in death's cold hand
What has become of this world's state,
Human's have lost their humane trait
Love is now, just a sound ,hollow and bare
Trust's throat was cut in the sun's bright fare
What is now fading, what starts to fray?
In the love of husband and wife, day by day
Even for children, there hearts show no gleam
Those feelings of loyalty,a forgotten dream
The seven vows, of the seven rounds they took,
Now even seven months, cannot withstand their look
They loved each other with a passion deep,
Now even two minutes, their patience won't keep
Now riches, now passion from someone aside,
So often in this pure bond, a fracture will hide
Now selfish pride, now wrath begins to burn
And heated arguments at every corner turn
An ideal couple, when our eyes meet,
Makes us smile, Oh so sweet!!!
For someone still knows the loving tune,
That adds to this bond, its lovely moon..
Oh God ,keep crafting such couples we pray,
For this is the true essence of a happy day!!!!!!
