Divine Union: Shiva and Parvati

By Shristi Rudra Bhowmick

On Kailash's peak, where clouds embrace the stone,
Sits Mahadeva, seemingly alone.
But solitude is just a mortal's view,
For Shakti's love makes One from Two.

Parvati, born of mountain's might,
Seeks union with the Lord of Night.
Through penance fierce and devotion pure,
She proves her love both strong and sure.

He, the destroyer, cosmic dancer wild,
She, the mother, nurturing and mild.
In perfect balance, they entwine—
Two halves that make the whole divine.

Ardhanarishvara they become,
Male and female joined as one.
In their love, the world finds form—
Creation's dance, both cool and warm.

Blue-throated Shiva, eyes aflame,
And gentle Uma of undying fame,
Their bond transcends both time and space—
Eternal love in cosmic embrace.
