Grief cuts cold
Like wind at minus degrees
While my feet are naked on the snow
It tethers the nuances of my gut
Shocks the hands stiff
Shuts all exit doors
While I feel the chill of ice
Numbing my nose.
Shortening the breathe.
Aclmiatising my reflexes
In constant freeze,
I'm here now.
Nowhere to go.
Trapped or finally free?
I see my mother
Across the fog
Holding a key
Floating with the clouds
Her fearful eyes
Frozen
Looking for my locked hands
As if she could feel the trap
Of my freeze
Her eyes held pain from when I saw her last
Her cold hands from when I held them aghast.
Nowhere to go,
Was she trapped or free?
I wanted my warmth
To reach her soon.
Bowing down, escaping her gaze
I surrender to her divine glow.
As tears rolled down
I unfroze at minus.
My hands untie from the cold pain
I began to search for her again.
Those eyes vanished with the fog
With every wail of my grief
She blessed me with her grace.
Her fingers moving through
The harmonium's embrace.
Under her breathe
Lived a melodious song.
Every note melted the snow
Waterfalls streaming beneath
Like warm tea.
Grief melts warmly,
My frozen heart.
Trapped no more,
I'm finally free
It waved and whispered,
"All you need to do
Is bow to the divine in
You".
Grief, leaves me calmly
At minus degrees
With a promise to return
With my mother again.
Grief cuts cold
Like wind at minus degrees
While your feet are naked on the snow
It thethers the nuances of gut
Shuts all exit doors
While you feel the chill of ice
Numbing your nose.
You're here now.
Nowhere to go
Trapped or finally free?
You're here now,
Acclimiatising your sharp reflexes
In constant freeze.
I see my mother
Across the fog
Holding a key
Floating with the clouds
Her fearful eyes
Frozen
Looking for my locked hands
As if she could feel the trap

I surrender to her divine
Bowing down, escaping her gaze
My hands untie from the cold pain
As tears rolled down
I unfroze at minus.
I began to search for her again.
Those eyes vanish with the fog
But her laughter resounded
Like warm tea,
I heard her breathe
A melodious song.
Her fingers moving through
The harmonium and the sitar
In that music,
I could feel her embrace.
With every wail of grief
She hugged me with grace.
Grief melts warmly,
My frozen heart.
Leaves me calmly
At minus degrees
With a promise to return
With my mother again
It whispered
"All you need to do
Is bow to the divine in
You"
