Defeated Warriors

By Samiksha Tripathi

Which place do they belong?
The ones who played and didn't won.

The ones who chose the untravelled roads knowingly, they stood and fought.

Those defeated warriors, those unsung ones.
Tried and tried still didn't won.

The ones who never got tired of trying. Those who learnt lessons of winning and the art of defeat.

Defeat so gracefully even the world would weep.
But which place must they go after defeat in a row?

None such place is made for them,
They feel nomads even to loved ones.
But they long for peace and not pity,
They who await to win and never ashamed to lose.

They who knows it's not the end,
Winning is sweet but it's defeat which makes enslaved enthroned, it lits the fire inside to overcome fears and grow up all alone.

The defeated warriors knew they could have won, but also knew it's a matter of time.

Winning can be handled by each and all .
But defeat,my friend needs a master.
A master to hold it tight till the right time.

The defeated warriors know how to win, until then defeat is their companion and silence is their shield.
