The grand dandelion,
Signifies the celestial bodies —
The sun, moon, and stars.
The little suns,
They open like a glow of gold,
At dusk, they sleep and fold.
They bring fierce strength;
They can stand the test of fire,
Enthuse to aspire.
It turns to a moon-like husk ball,
Each star like a floret and black seed —
It will fly soon to breed.
I can recall the visions,
When I skipped and chased
These white sailing flowers.
As I was told,
If you catch and hold,
And throw it back to the sky,
Your wish will come by.
The dandelion binds together hundreds of dreams,
Which are carried together in a stream.
Beautiful. Soothing to the soul.
Beautifully written Deepika. Deserves a place in the world of poetry.
Deepika you have expressed the beauty and the powerful qualities of a simple dandelion so beautifully! Loved it and feel people are like that too simple in appearance but have amazing qualities that often go unnoticed! 👍❤️
