Corpse of Gold

By Tanya Chandel

Corpse of gold lay laughing on concrete soil
Making fun of her smile, her sparkling eyes
Corpse of gold made her skin shiver
Made her think of suicide, her sparkling eyes shedding tears, her soul cried
Corpse of gold still lay, showing teeth humorously
A naked girl wanted to be free
Corpse of gold, grinning lustfully
Her beauty, her endeavour lay defeated
Corpse of gold still laughing humorously
A boy, filled with dreams
He wanted to be free, never even had the idea to flea
Corpse of gold stared at him deadly
Shattered his soul into a million pieces
Corpse of gold continued to laugh humorously
Corpse of gold shattered their kind spirits
The three lay along with the crowd, but motionlessly
There, on concrete soil every soul begged for peace
"Please let me free" cried the soul of each and every being
The corpse still lay laughing with humor
The mob strangled humanity
Feelings, they lay deep in pit
Corpse of gold made a mansion out of a tiny little innocent tree
And called it "The mansion everyone needs"
Every soul darkened with sight of materialistic dreams
Each one running with the intention of killing the other one with brighter beam
And their flesh still longed for humanity, soul searched for loyalty
"Please let yourselves be free" the soul whispered, running out of breathe
A corpse didn't follow the notion, questioned about emotions
Was strangled to death
Other question if it was a homicide
Some raised their voice, wrote poetry
Some were choked to death for initiating the notion in favour of being
A few were beheaded, other singing hymns
The battle of vain, pain and justice continues until humanity indeed exists
