Each of us arrived on this lovely Earth,
On a fateful day, uniquely ours,
We stepped in with our innocent, separate feet-
A journey began, empty hands and nameless.
We danced and played to children’s tunes,
On grassy meadows and wild mountainsides,
Every child a chord in a melody so vast,
Echoed in every nook and corner, we listened.
We shared the countless beauties of Earth,
Within our family’s arms, where we belong,
Our parents hold us warm and tight,
With open hearts, they led us on.
They taught us faith they deeply cherished,
Guided us along different paths to shape our days,
In varied faiths, we found our niche,
Each a separate, equal path to follow.
Along these paths of faith, we grew ahead,
Guided by dreams our parents’ held of distant destiny,
Though the names and prayers may differ,
We are the children of the same Earth, divine.
We may wear clothes of diverse customs,
But each heart holds love for motherland.
We know, deep within, the memories linger-
Of laughter we shared in those youthful days.
When war clouds rise and darkness falls,
Brave soldiers stand for us, with true hearts.
They rise as one, to defend the motherland without fear,
Their spirit of oneness will remain engraved.
When they fall in combat’s flame,
They are recognized by name, unknown by face.
And we grieve in unison irrespective of belief,
Their sacrifice was for all of us.
For every hero we have lost,
To laugh and play was in their dreams.
They wished to live for those dear to them,
And to watch their children grow each day.
Though faith and belief may differ,
Roots and souls remain the same.
We all know, deep in our hearts, memories stay-
We, the children of the same Earth,
Born on one world, both I and you.
Seeing this image makes me feel so sad and wonder what God has planned for those children living in that situation.
