Life is like a candle,
A dancing flame, burning bright,
Seems endless, but fades from sight,
So light your candle carefully,
In a way that it shines fearlessly.
Live your life without regrets,
The pain of regret cuts deeper than death.
Death is awaited, a fate we heed,
Success is lit through your fire beneath,
So light your candle carefully,
In a way that it shines endlessly.
Regrets turn into nightmares,
From trauma arise the dream-born demons.
Run-Run flee if you must,
But the chasm only deepens.
Can't outrun what lives within,
Only you can defend your shadow,
Use your heart as a weapon and your body as a shield.
Burn the demons away,
Courage you must show,
Before they snuff your flame,
Leave the candlelight dim.
So light your candle carefully,
In a way that it shines tirelessly.
