Breathless Truths: Finding Ourselves In The Space We Overlook

By Michelle Gracias

Breath starts a rhythm.
Soft and steady, beats a tiny heart,
Against tender skin and fragile ribs,
Announcing life’s arrival,
Marking the first note,
In the symphony of your existence.

Each breath rises without asking,
An effortless promise of continuity.
Tying together moments,
Of laughter and tears,
Lessons learned in silence,
Through a rollercoaster of emotions.

This is deep.
It’s not just the sound that we hear.
It’s the quiet between the space,
Where nothing speaks,
Yet everything is felt.

The pause, brief and weightless,
Holds the mystery,
Of being a gap too small to measure,
Yet vast enough,
To cradle all you’ve ever known.

When the final echo fades,
It won’t be the heartbeat you remember,
But the spaces it left behind,
The quiet places,
Where life truly lived.
