Bound by Destiny

Humans are tied to their fate,
deceived by what they call 'destiny'.
They wish to be remembered by the world,
as the greatest warrior,
a distinguished physicist,
fearless leader,
renowned painter,
billionaire tycoon,
finest actor,
a kind soul,
or a good human being,
but none as a selfless lover.

To pick a story for remembrance
most are doomed to go after fortune, glory, and strength,
sacrificing their love.

Heer and Ranjha,
Romeo and Juliet,
would remain ordinary devoid of their lore,
freeing themselves from resurrection,
their immortal souls.

Lucky are the ones who find and fight for their other half,
others make peace with their better half,
and live a life of cowardice and greed.
