He stood before me with expectation in his eyes and longings in his heart
So full of emotions and yet so profound in his expressions of eagerness to communicate,
From a time that was yet to arrive, from distant future which appeared yet so close;
‘Pale blue planet ‘he recounted, am desirous to be born again and again here.
‘Isn’t it bright? Bright Blue planet??” I asked as I repeated to assure myself of my singular location
To ascertain my position to the enthusiastic soul who appeared so keen to talk.
‘Was very much so, truly so. But now its pale blue as its seen now from the outer Universe:
‘We are separated by eons , friend; Your planet has gone pale’; He lamented.
‘What u seek now ?’ I queried. ‘What brings you to me now? Anything special??’
‘Very much so’ he replied. ‘Want to be born here . of real flesh and blood on your pale blue planet,
‘But then you lost your Moon! And no one could be born on your planet again’ And you got no Mother.
Your Mother’s bodies were attuned to the cycles of Moon and now the Moon’s gone and you are lost!!
‘All the novelties of life are gone as you don’t have now your Mothers! Purest of emotions as well!!
Pain, sufferings and all lofty ideals of gratitude, forgiveness and unconditional love we desire and dream,
Remain unfulfilled as we can’t be born again on your planet! Your planet has gone barren!!
Seems not just from within but also from without and precisely so’.
I get up startled.. trying to figure out the disappearing silhouette that had caught my attention,
Trying to figure out the Moon if that were moving away from us, rather receding;
Hoping to hold on to all Mothers to assure and reassure of our existence: of primal importance:
Clutching on to the last of hopes, expectations least we are drowned in an unending era of eerie silence!!
