I am letting you go!
I hope you find what you are seeking,
And gain the truth you’ve been reaching.
We must meet in our future—
For better, for best, or maybe for worse.
I hope our roads may cross again,
Two separate lines, one intersection then.
Perhaps a moment will arise,
Where distance fades and silence dies,
Connecting us for just a little time.
Let’s hold a hope that we will meet—
Till then, goodbye, like a hymn soft and sweet.
Let’s hope that when we meet once more,
We’ve found the truths we hungered for.
The time remains a mystery—
It could be weeks, or years, or more.
But let’s meet once again!
To clear the air of loss and pain.
To speak of bonds we once had known,
And find a peace once we’ve outgrown.
Let’s meet again!
Just to talk, to laugh once more,
To cherish what we shared before.
A bond we once thought mutual and strong—
Let’s not let change declare it gone.
Let’s meet again!
To rekindle the bond,
To light the flame, so long forgone.
To bare our souls and softly bend,
In a kindred moment, heart to mend.
Let’s meet again!
To cheer for us, just once, no guise—
Two hearts who knew where kindness lies.
To live the moment, not too fast,
To hold what slipped into the past.
Let’s meet again!
When we’ve searched our souls,
And chosen roads with wiser goals.
This hope I hold and softly send,
To you, my longed-for, unrequited friend.
Let’s meet again!
A friend who was never quite mine,
Though I believed our bond divine.
You were dear, yet couldn’t see
The words you never said to me.
Let’s surely meet again!
And greet each other, simply, as Friend.
