An India

By Vishwanath Vaidyalingan

Today I swear, I will keep myself and my nation clean,
To be a part of making an India this world has never seen. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™

I'll use a loo, or build one if I must,
Wash my hands with soap when done, as a trust.
I wonโ€™t let illness spread around,
And teach the same to my daughter and son.

Today I swear, I wonโ€™t be the way Iโ€™ve been,
To be a part of making an India this world has never seen. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™

I wonโ€™t spit, I wonโ€™t litter,
Only rain will flow through the gutter.
The roads that lead me home,
Will glitter under sunshine, not foam.

Today I swear, what I say, I truly mean,
To be a part of making an India this world has never seen. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™
