Acceptance

By Gauri Tahmankar

What happened, why it happened, why me?
Asked these futile questions all her life

Drifting away from her passion and reality
Searching for answers, trying to make sense of it all, in order to survive

A young brilliant confident girl became a slave of her past
Reliving the trauma which put her future at risk and her present in dark

Storms after storms she became more and more submissive
Allowing her fears to manifest, she was now completely deceived

Trusted strangers more than her own people
How stupid was she, not to realise that she needs to trust herself first

She went through so much that even if people treated her like a use and throw product
She couldn't even make out that something wrong is happening with her and that it needs to stop

Everyone just saw her flaws and pointed out her mistakes
As a result she surrendered herself and started believing that she is only capable of destruction, no matter how much she wants the things to change

She wonders, where did she go wrong?
Since she just stood for what's right which ironically made her weak instead of making her strong

Despite of all this, you can still see that hope in her eyes
The faith that it's probably not too late to start a new life

She has lost soo much that there's nothing more she can ever loose
Maybe this is the time she can finally make it through

The road was never easy, still she came so far
It's not the end of the world after all

The moment she realises her worth
Life will no longer feel like a curse

Pain was and it will be there
The only difference is, now she doesn't need any help in order for it to bare

  • It’s really nice. Showing the weakness and courage of a girl , coming from dark and going to bright light rays.
