Nothing else helped
Just a splash here
And a splash there
The wet spots
On my white dress
Make it transparent
See through
It made me visible
Yet covered
In a way not quite a coward
It taught me to be brave
It gave me a path
It gave me a voice
Not a part of it was half
Awoke the feelings that were my vice
A way to express
The emotions that were suppressed
So I let it flow
I let it stain
I let it be transparent
Because what was once stormy rain
Is what made me clean again
