A girl in disguise,
A girl with lies,
Hiding a boy inside,
All the rules she abides.
Made a bet with that ten-year-old
To break the cage and be bold.
"She is a girl"—that’s all she was told.
At midnight, a pillow was all she could hold.
She made a picture of him in her mind where she smiles—
Oh, but that picture of him traced uncountable miles.
A girl in disguise,
A girl with lies,
At thirteen she saw a girl and her soul tangled with butterflies.
Life turned into colors of surprise.
She was about to touch the rainbow—
But wait, here come thunder storms to blow.
She deserved acceptance, love, and lilies;
All she got was disgust, hatred, and bullies.
She wrote a story to the other world,
Where she was him—and somehow, it worked.
A girl in disguise,
A girl with lies.
No matter how hard she tries,
She couldn’t rescue her soul and cries.
At the age of eighteen, with identity crises and teary eyes—
“Oh, I wish I was a guy,” she sighs.
She held the hand of that inner boy.
Cutting hair and wearing a shirt was a different kind of joy.
A girl in disguise,
A girl with lies.
Her pink walls turned into blue dyes.
The lighter her soul, the higher he’d rise.
Stepping into her twenties, she found a girl
Who fell in love with the man in her.
Oh, look how life turned into a magical swirl—
That picture of him seemed closer than miles,
Self-love embedded in her styles.
A girl in disguise,
A girl with lies.
Coming out to her parents at twenty-three—
The long years to set her free.
For years, she bled.
To unbutton her soul and set him free was all she pled.
When all her tears and fears were turning into rage,
All she wanted was a home for her soul, not an unfamiliar cage.
Help her turn this page.
She never wanted a palace of colors, but a home with simple beige.
A girl in disguise,
A girl with lies.
“I hope she dies,”
’Cause the man in her has been waiting for years to rise.
A girl, a girl, a girl in disguise—
Oh, all these are lies.
Let her be a man,
And look how high he flies.
Amazing as always ✨
