What is She?

BY AAKANKSHA BHAGWATKAR

Change the attire, Doll up!
They are hear, "you must look pretty"!!!
19 she was with hesitation and agitation,
Asked everyone if she had to be the one.

'Sacrificing herself', hobbies, Dairies, studies and zilch, that's all,
Now she was a companion of stranger to be called,
Life of leisure and no worries; suddenly is so scary,
Alien weather, aura, people and behaviour!!
She had to be the perfect dummy for all.

Walk this way, eat after everyone,
No sleep until it's sore, be at ease when the date on calendar appears that is marked!
Be the mother, who never asks;
No complaints, no demands at all
Read your own lines and be in limits!!!
Weren't you born just for this day lady? Stretching halt.

Grieved on the day she saw him in a grave
Oh, no, no, no this isn't true were her last words;
She woke up straight the next day, thought it was a nightmare; but
Till then they were prepared,
Opening the doors felt like driving to hell.
They broke her bangles, rubbed her forehead;
No more colours, darkness with white attire wasn't a game.

I won't rhyme my Poetry, it's a story of reality;
She had the little one in her arms,
People crying who were just a part,
But she the one lost in sum everything
Left in silence and nothing at all.
You hear Ups and downs, I hear period and scars.

With real heavy heart I ask you,
what is she?
Let me know if your pens have the guts
To describe what is she?
