The posh residence and the lavish lifestyle,
All faces were graced by a smile!
Everyone seemed loyal sans being vile,
As none hesitated to go that extra mile!
Such was the beauty of that time,
When the bells of success did chime!
When everyone matched my tone and rhyme,
And reassured, “We’re yours and you’re all mine!”
The unknown embraced; the known were always there,
The reasons were created to meet, no matter where!
I was swayed by people’s affection, love, and care,
Happiness was glued to my life like a table with its chair!
Soon, my business failed and the life turned,
Every rupee earned was now burnt!
Were those people mine or they weren’t?
Some harsh lessons were meant to be learnt!
The whole crowd of acquaintances was now gone,
As if the relation with them was always torn!
The glorious times were now bygone,
The dusk of excuses overpowered the hopeful dawn!
The test of the time unveiled the people’s veil,
They loathed my success and wanted me to fail!
I was shattered like a prisoner in a jail,
Seeing the adversity and its massive scale!
The ones who stayed are the ones who are mine,
There is no teacher greater than the time!
My life is now sorted and sublime,
With a new hope and a novel paradigm!
