In complete stillness, I sank again,
Each memory a jagged shard, ripping my heart.
Dominant voices, whispers turned to screams,
"You can't hide from me".
With an evil laugh clawed their way through the cracks of my mind.
Frightened and fragile, a porcelain doll on a shelf,
I searched for a comfort heart, a place to secure from those demons,
but I couldn't rely on one.
Again, I returned to the same spot to hide myself.
Under the bed, in the dust-filled, shadowed space,
I huddled, seeking refuge from the voices' cruel embrace.
But bed frame couldn't keep out
they seeped through the floorboards, choking me in the night.
Veins start popping out as
realization struck like lightning
These echoes of torment wouldn't fade or retreat,
the Voices, a chilling chorus, forever imprinted in my mind.
