In lands unknown, from homelands torn,
They seek a refuge, where hope is born.
Fleeing for their lives, to find some solace,
Amidst the darkness, a glimmer of promise.
They speak of struggles, to make ends meet,
Navigating a world, complex and discreet.
Lines blurred between what's legal and not,
In their quest for safety, they've fought and fought.
Their memories linger, of a cherished past,
Forced to leave it all, behind, aghast.
With voices strong, they demand respect,
A life with dignity, they seek to protect.
Anxiety and worries, constant companions,
Yet, they dream of a home, free from tensions.
A place to live, work, and freely play,
Where they're embraced, and welcomed to stay.
Let's extend our hands, with empathy and care,
In unity and compassion, let's be aware.
For every refugee, a chance to find,
A new beginning, hope redefined.
