Just a placeholder?

It was something different, we didn't wanna rush,
Oh wait, it wasn't even a crush.
All we wanted, was to take things slow,
But we were also ready, to go with the flow.
We weren't forced to break the ground rule,
Everything happened effortlessly cool.
Side by side, we sat and cared,
Everyday, every stuff we shared.
Drove in the car for miles and miles,
With giggles and laughs and cuddles and smiles.
We couldn't help ourselves from falling,
Was never tired of texting and calling.
Too soon, but i wanted it long and fine,
Trust me, he never gave me a wrong sign.
We didn't know, if it was right,
But it was all, about that night.
Cosy and comfy, he kept me safe and sound,
He was my first love, but I was his rebound.
