Iron Wings

By Devikrishna H

I am lost to the unknown
walking without light
and darkness by my side.
A narrow lane so outstretched,
where does it end my dilemma
of the fearless plight so far?
To the one eye
that sees all
I believe to give me back,
my wings,
forged in failures and mistakes
it weighs my steps
so sure
to the heights
I am climbing upon.
Neither does it disappear
nor does it fail.
Because something
forged low and powerless
have the strength to wield a sword.
