Frozen Wishes

By Simran Dhingra

Imagine if the world stops for a moment,

Everything ceases in the perfect way

And the universe gives you one last chance

To make things right this very day.

Will you go to the beach and cherish the frozen waves?

Or will you watch peoples laughter that's not fake?

Or will it please you to sit and do nothing?

With your head in your hand, tired of the paining.

Will you feel the sunlight gently nourishing your famished heart?

Or will you touch the glaciers and freeze with the cold?

Will you see the young sapling just about to be born?

Or will you dance to the devils music that makes you feel so bold?

Will you watch the prey at the brink of its death?

Or will you admire the peacock with its beautiful wings spread?

Will you dote on young children holding hands still so innocent?

Or will you watch old couples praying their promise to each other for a little more longer be kept?

Will you go to your loved ones and see them happy?

Or will you thank someone you never got the chance to?

Will you take revenge against someone you've always wanted to?

Or will you go to your man and finally tell him what you've told him a thousand times in your dreams?

But you can't, for you're too scared that the world might start again.
