Direful lies

By  Sumera Muqtadir

I experienced dawn,
Yes i experienced dawn,
And the breeze at dawn had secrets to tell me,
As I buried grief in the graveyard of lies,
so to never look back at it
The lies that haunting my days and nights.
Cascades of misery pooled in my eyes as tears gush down my tender flushies.
Oh, how my soul is pierced with pain,
my heart is drenched in agony.
You stranded me in the places deprived of glint.
And now I'm left with nothing but gloom.
The demons inside me smirked
As I hid you in the dampened parts of my heart,
As I hid your presence, your name, your memory in the fiery segment of my heart
And asked the demons to safeguard all of it.
Yet in another story the sultry burning flame froze
When it tried to burn the pages profused by your name.
How soulless were the chills flaring from your presence?
that they caused an inferno to stop dead.
