ColourBlind

By Snigdha Chatterjee

I got shot in the heart
But my beloved saviors in disguise took care of it
Yet, it left an everlasting scar on my memory, so…I only found tremendous pain….

I got stuck in some important chores
My loved ones took care of my other things
Yet, my mind was solely focused on those other things
So, I only found extreme stress…….

I lost in a respectful competition
But the understanding ones gave me the hope
Yet, my eyes found false visions
So, I only found despair……….

Somebody broke my heart
But the silent angels revived it
Yet, my heart was still mourning on the broken pieces
So, I only found betrayal……….

I lost my way to peace
But the almighty slyly brought me back
Yet my mortal body was still there
So, I kept roaming in vain…………

I sank in darkness
But rose back perfectly lit
Yet, the eyes were closed, so, I only found absence of light

All these years, I began to realize only one thing
Dear almighty,
You gifted us with the rainbows too
But alas! we were colour blind…….
