A Voice – Delhi Poetry Slam

A Voice

BY SHARANYA RAO

There's a voice
hiding in this solitude,
Just as there is one in yours

There's a voice
drawing me towards you,
calling me about

There's a voice
distant and faint, it's drowning
in the melancholy engulfing you

There's a voice
screaming until it breaks
everything in its path

Quite though it seems
there's a voice, so charismatic
so enchanting and euphoric

But you cast it away,
overshadowing it
with the noise of the world.

  • Great Poem Sharanya..can be interpreted in various ways.. I would consider the voice as a person’s “Conscience” speaking out to him..
Keep it going with more poems written from your heart ❤️..
