I read and hear,
the words of the seer,
I feel that You are indeed mine,
that beyond duality You shine.
Then, come these powerful intruders,
from my past, my blunders,
the repeated patterns of my behaviour,
O Lord! Only You can be my Saviour.
I cry, “This is just not done!”
But, ‘samskaras’ seem to have won,
my journey towards You in solitude,
seems futile and rude.
I travel relentless,
in an unending tunnel of darkness,
I am stuck, where there’s no light,
either at this end or that, in sight.
But, having got a taste of purity,
Everything worldly, seems an insanity,
I know I can’t go back,
But, at my front, I see no track.
Then, my inner voice, I do hear,
to surge beyond despair and fear,
I see light at the end of the tunnel,
I can see the truth, so subtle,
In surrender, and resignation to Your will,
My thoughts, always come to a standstill.
Excellent. A rendition to Almighty
