A Mortal Goddess

By Mohar Nag

I'll always battle
as Athena does,
Wear wisdom like
my armour
and embark through
the dark.

I'll be the voice
of Medusa who's
frequently unheard,
A femme fatale who's
born from her own sass.

As Themis, my
eyes will wear the neutral
blindfold,
For justice, truth and
honour have two sides
to be shown.

As Artemis, hunting
will become my style,
For a woman's growth
lies in her eternal fertility
towards the quest of life.
For she has sprung from
the Earth and consists
of five elements bestowed
from the heaven up above.

I'll embrace my femininity
when remembering Hera
and the forgotten glory
of womanhood from centuries, buried.

I'll become Aphrodite,
for she whispered into
my dreams. Beauty and
sensuality are complimentary.
"I live in you and you live in me."

I'm Gaia and she is me,
I'm her, she thrives through me,
I dwell within her, she is reborn
within me.
Mother nature and I, are
symbiosis of our own beings.
It's through the crimson dreams
that I'm born again and again
to live, to breathe.

For men must know that their
existence will cease, if a woman
doesn't bleed.
