A Blurry Glimpse Into a Grieving Soul

By Inderdeep Kaur

When you are overflowing with stories,
But you finally realise that there aren’t just enough words to describe this ferocious storm,

When you have been repeatedly told “You cannot die”
But no one has an explanation on “How to live on..”

The irony is you feel jailed even in this open,
As your inside has been caged in bereavement left royally to rot,

When you shiver and crumble in pain every hour longing for their love and touch for just once,
But all you are randomly suggested is to “Move on……”

I dare you to look into my eyes,
I dare you to see the tall tides of tears that they hold,

I want you to feel for once how blurry this world looks from my lens,
Isn’t it unfair that Im asked to steer clear, embrace change and just mould,

I dare you to hold my hand just for once,
Im sure you wont touch it again!
For Im sure no one wants to feel the weight of anhhilated dreams clinging to a cold obliterate soul,

The grandiose fire which they lit on you on that pitch dark night consumed my life,
Will you gamble to burn with me a little to heal me whole?

  • Sending you good thoughts—and hoping you believe in yourself just as much as we all believe in you. Also needless to say, your pen holds magic just like you do bro. Love you. :)
